Petrol Bomb Attack on RSS Office in Ranchi Fails to Cause Damage, Investigation Underway
A suspected petrol bomb attack on an RSS office in Ranchi's Nivaranpur area prompted a major police investigation after two bottles believed to contain petrol were thrown at the premises. CCTV footage captured the incident, while forensic teams examined evidence. BJP leaders condemned the attack, and security has been strengthened as authorities search for the culprits.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:38 a.m. in the Nivaranpur area of Ranchi. CCTV footage captured the attackers throwing two bottles toward the RSS office compound. According to preliminary findings, both bottles landed outside the boundary wall, preventing any damage to the building and avoiding injuries to personnel or residents in the vicinity.
Following the attack, police teams rushed to the scene and recovered broken glass fragments believed to be linked to the bottles used in the incident. Forensic experts were summoned to examine the evidence and assist investigators in determining the exact nature of the materials involved. Authorities have also intensified security measures around the area while reviewing additional surveillance footage to identify and trace potential suspects.
The incident quickly drew political reactions. Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leaders, including Babulal Marandi and Sanjay Seth, strongly condemned what they described as a premeditated attack on the RSS office. The leaders linked the incident to recent remarks made by Congress leaders regarding the RSS and also referred to an earlier stone-pelting incident involving a train carrying RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.
Despite the seriousness of the attack, no injuries were reported and no organization or group has claimed responsibility. Investigators are continuing to examine all possible angles as part of the ongoing probe.
The attempted attack has intensified concerns over security and political tensions in the region. With forensic analysis underway and surveillance footage under scrutiny, authorities are focused on identifying those responsible and determining the motive behind the failed assault on the RSS office.
